About Alexander Murray
Alexander Murray & Co. is an independent merchant and bottler on a continuous quest of finding Scotland’s finest whiskies. The company, based in Calabasas, California, was founded in 2004 by Steve Lipp, a Scotsman with over 28 years of experience in the whisky industry, who named it after his great uncle Alexander Murray, whom he credits with giving him his first taste of whisky. To bottle a whisky under the Alexander Murray name is a promise of quality, and the brand sources only the best whiskies that meet the Alexander Murray philosophy and standards from several malt distilleries, many hidden away in the most beautiful parts of Scotland.
The company has also been working with trade customers all over the USA, developing and launching their own brand spirits. Lipp feels huge pride for and is passionate about promoting ‘The Water of Life’, and firmly believes Scotch whisky should be approachable and accessible to all. About Scotch
